Senator Dave Min and Irvine Police Unveil New Electric Vehicles Funded by the State of California
(IRVINE, CA) — Today, Senator Dave Min (D-Irvine) announced $990,000 in state funding for the Irvine Police Department to purchase modern communications equipment, charging stations and 13 electric vehicles, including Ford Lightning trucks, Ford Mustang Mach Es, Polaris Rangers, and all-terrain vehicles (ATVs). Funded in the 2023-24 State Budget, the Senator was joined by Irvine Chief of Police Mike Kent to showcase state of the art electric charging infrastructure at the Great Park and a Ford Lightning truck slated for police patrols.
