Senator Dave Min Releases Statement on the Shooting at Korean American Salon in Dallas, Texas

SACRAMENTO, CA — Senator Dave Min (D-Irvine) issued the following statement in response to the recent shooting that targeted a Korean American owned salon Dallas, Texas.

"I am shocked by the news that a gunman opened fire at a Korean American owned hair salon in Dallas, Texas and injured three Korean women before fleeing the scene. Fortunately, all victims are being treated with non-life threatening injuries, but this violent crime, once again, raises the concern that we are fighting a battle on two fronts: the rise of gun violence and anti-Asian hate.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the victims, their families, and the entire Asian Trade District. Let this cowardly act be a reminder that we must continue to protect and safeguard our communities against racially motivated attacks."
