(HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA)   Senator Dave Min issued the following statement as the Huntington Beach City Council prepares for a final vote to remove the LGBTQ+ Pride Flag from city property. 




(SACRAMENTO, CA) — Today, Senator Dave Min announced the introduction of Senate Bill (SB) 637, which requires that the State’s public finances cut off business with any banks or lenders with business customers that manufacture firearms. SB 637 applies to every aspect of the California’s public finances including municipal bonds, capital projects, and the State’s debt portfolio.




(SACRAMENTO, CA) — Today, Senator Dave Min announced the introduction of Senate Bill (SB) 559, which would end offshore oil drilling under existing leases in California state waters. While there has long been a moratorium on the issuance of new leases off the coast of California, oil production has continued for the past 40 years under existing leases which were first issued in the 1960s and 1970s.




SACRAMENTO, CA — Senator Dave Min and Stop AAPI Hate today announced the introduction of Senate Bill (SB) 434, ‘Public Transit for All: Improving Safety & Increasing Ridership,’ which would require California’s top ten public transit systems to collect survey data as a critical first step towards improving ridership safety, addressing street harassment on public transit, and bringing riders back to public transit.

(HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA) - Senator Dave Min made a statement to the Huntington Beach City Council today concerning the proposed removal of the LGBTQ+ Pride Flag from City property. The Senator’s statement is in response to Councilor Pat Burns placing an item on the council's meeting agenda calling for the flag's removal from City property. Since 2021, Huntington Beach has raised the Pride Flag in celebration of Harvey Milk Day and LGBTQ+ Pride Month.




SACRAMENTO, CA — Senator Dave Min today announced the introduction of Senate Bill (SB) 290 to modernize The Access to Domestic Violence Reports Act of 1999. SB 290 would allow abuse victims to have access to a free copy of evidence digitally stored by law enforcement. Digital recordkeeping is not included in the original 1999 Act and, in the last two decades, has since become universal for police departments to maintain evidence files.
