LOS ANGELES, CA — Senator Dave Min (D-Irvine) and Assemblymember Miguel Santiago (D-Los Angeles) joined the Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) today in announcing the new Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) Training Program will soon offer testing in additional languages beyond the initial English and Spanish offerings.




SACRAMENTO, CA – Today, Senator Susan Talamantes Eggman (D-Stockton), Senator Dave Min (D-Irvine), Assemblymember Carlos Villapudua (D-Stockton), Assemblymember Cottie Petrie-Norris (D-Laguna Beach), and San Joaquin County District Attorney Tori Verber Salazar announced legislation to create sentencing enhancements for violent crimes targeting schools and places of worship.

Senate Bill 699 creates two sentence enhancements for specified felonies attempted or committed at schools or houses of worship.




SACRAMENTO, CA – Senator Dave Min (D-Irvine) and Stop AAPI Hate announced the passage of Senate Bill (SB) 1161 off of the Senate Floor.  The legislation is now in the Assembly for consideration.  The bill mandates the 10 largest transit agencies in the state to gather data and design solutions to address the root causes of street harassment on public transit.

The two bills come on the heels of a mass shooting in Laguna Woods where a gunman targeted a church full of Taiwanese parishioners, killing one and leaving five individuals critically injured.

LAGUNA WOODS, CA — Senator Dave Min (D-Irvine) issued the following statement in response to new information that yesterday’s mass shooting in Laguna Woods is being investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation as a federal hate crime.
