SACRAMENTO, CA — Senator Dave Min (D-Irvine) announced today that Governor Gavin Newsom has signed a total of eight of his bills into law. At the end of the State Legislature’s session in September, Senator Min had introduced a total of 15 bills, of which eight had  reached the Governor’s desk for consideration.




Huntington Beach, CA — California State Senators Dave Min (Irvine) and Josh Newman (Fullerton), who represent roughly half of Orange County, sent a letter earlier today to Orange County’s federal legislative representatives asking them to lead a legislative effort to end all offshore drilling in federal waters off the coast of California, including drilling performed under current leases.




Huntington Beach, CA — Senator Dave Min announced that he would be introducing legislation in the next legislative session that would end all drilling in California state waters, including under existing leases. This legislation, which comes in response to the Orange County Oil Spill just off the coast of Huntington Beach, comes one day after Senator Min called for a ban on all drilling in federal waters off the coast of California.
